Hearing, Vision, and Dental Screening
A hearing, vision, and dental screening is required by the Michigan Department of Education for entry into kindergarten.  Children can receive a screening through their doctor or through the Mid-Michigan District Health Department  (989-224-2195).   If your child attends a local preschool program then the Health Department likely conducted the screening there.

The Health Department is located at:

1307 E. Townsend Rd., St. Johns, MI 48879

Please make sure that the documentation of the screening is submitted to our District Office by emailing it to enrollment@sjredwings.org

Your Child's Teacher and Kindergarten Orientation.

You will receive a letter from your child's teacher before school starts with more information about the school year.  There will be a Kindergarten Orientation and meet the teacher night, which will be scheduled a week before school starts.

This is always an exciting time for students and parents as they enter school.   We will do everything we can to make sure this transition goes as smoothly as possible.  Please continue to visit our web page for school updates and information.
